About

Sanjay Bisht

O yo people, now that you’ve reached this page, let me fill your curiosity with some of my vital stats :P . I really wanted to write up an introduction where I jokingly referenced myself in the third person, but I poked around a bit and discovered that the rest of the Internet had already done it. C’est la vie, right?!

I was named as Sanjay and given my ancestral surname of “Bisht” on the 10th of September, some two decades back. A lot has happened since that day, and from my first dream of becoming an air force pilot to the next of an actor and to the next of a football player, I managed to become a web applications developer. I currently work at Picsquare.com as a front-end engineer ESPN Cricinfo as a UI Engineer. I also took the first steps towards intrapreneurship, and started a small web and mobile apps dev studio aptly named “SimpleThings”. I occasionally blog at this place, and *PREVIOUSLY* sometimes also wrote at Pluggd IN, writing about entrepreneurship and the web.

I graduated from ISMU-Dhanbad, with a degree that officially made me eligible to work at all the greatest places I could think of …. Google, Apple, Microsoft….et all. But alas..something else was in store for me :)

I design and develop web apps, working on open-source technologies, specifically RoR, MySql, XHTML HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX. The preferred choice of JS frameworks remains jQuery (the write less do more one..remember)
